A little bit about myself...
My journey in Instructional Technology and Design began during my academic career at the University of Alabama, where I discovered the exciting world of this field. With a background in education and training careers, I have guided both student learning and adult training, creating teaching curriculums, learning materials, and educational experiences utilizing technology. My bilingual fluency in Spanish has enriched these skills and broadened my appreciation for our global society and the diverse people who live in it.
I set high expectations for myself, striving to produce superior quality projects that meet client expectations while showcasing my creativity and skills. My motto is “building things bigger and better,” and I am dedicated to continuous learning to stay current with research and ID trends. I am particularly interested in researching how GenAI can enhance scenario-based learning. I am committed to scholarship and contributing to the wider ID community through research. You can view my paper on Designing AI Ethics Education: A Comparative Analysis of Online Implementation Models in the January, 2025 issue of the International Journal of E-learning.
When I am not working on project design, I serve as a private tutor in English Language Arts and Spanish for high school and college students. I cherish spending time with my family, including my two sons, our dog Callie, cat Bella, and our little furry friends Teddy and Bear (gerbils). As a Spanish speaker, I have a deep connection with the Latino community. My passions include traveling, painting, crafting, and music. I live by the rule of “Carpe diem,” seizing every moment to fulfill my passions.
